Record Clinic provides its clients with Japanese heating presses specially designed for the dewarping of vinyl records. Depending on the condition of the record and its nature, the program will be adapted on our ORB DF-01i A+ machine. The treatment lasts 4 hours per cycle, 2 hours of ultra-gradual heating and gentle cooling. If the record is old, without thickened edges (GrooveGuard), adapters are used to guarantee the best possible flattening. This treatment applies to records of all sizes: 30, 25 or 17cm.
Depending on the nature of the disc and its condition, we reprint the media as many times as necessary; this is part of our package.
This service includes a pre-treatment cleaning. It is essential that your record is clean before it goes through the heat press to avoid any unwanted material getting into the record. You can also opt for the Premium treatment; your record will be cleaned using our most efficient process after the de-waxing process for the most perfect result possible.
Important : However, we cannot guarantee the success of the dewarping operation: depending on the exposure to heat, the composition of the record, previous treatments that may have been implemented before our treatment, it is possible that the groove has been deformed (generating possible jumps during playback) or that the material has partially melted (persistent crackling). In any case, Record Clinic is under an obligation of means, the customer who sends us a record for treatment will be invoiced regardless of the final result.
We strongly advise our customers not to attempt to unthread the disc using household appliances such as kitchen ovens, hair dryers or irons. In this case, the disc will almost always be irreparably destroyed by the uneven and excessively high heat to which it has been exposed.
Likewise, This treatment is not compatible with Picture-Discs .
