Before and immediately after playing, it is essential to remove any surface dust that has accumulated on the record. This maintenance operation prevents these particles from settling at the bottom of the groove and thus creating unpleasant crackling sounds.

Record Clinic selected this brush with a metal part that will also help get rid of the static electricity that naturally builds up on the record during playback. The accumulated electrical charge will generate high-pitched crackling sounds and attract airborne dust to the record. By gripping the metal with your fingers while brushing, you will conduct this electricity to the ground (don't worry, you won't feel a thing!).

Directions for use:

Do not press down on the brush; lightly rub the brush over the disc, perpendicular to the surface. Then lift it up and rub the carbon fibers back and forth on the plastic backing of the brush to eject the dust. Repeat until no particles are visible on the disc.
